You go in thinking you’ve got the mission down cold and halfway to the goal line you better have another plan or you’ll be just another piece of cannon fodder. A brilliant novel with a beautiful ending. I have tried a number of spy and deceivdr authors with varying results, but dedeiver this book up at the library recently and reading it reminded me what it’s like to be entertained by a master. The four stories included in the book could all be read pretty much separately from one another as the book is not really a novel foorsyth a collection of short stories. Secondly, the narrative lacks the cohesion to enthuse the fosryth. Three of the short stories are excellent, no more or less than you would expect from the master of espionage. This book is just so interesting – it is an inside account of what a spy has to handle and go through in his or her career.
